Personal profile

Research Focus

We research into catalysis aimed at realizing greener and more sustainable chemistry and chemical/biochemical engineering for chemical intermediates, pharmaceuticals and energy. We specialize in organometallic catalysts, biocatalysts, ionic liquids, and mixtures of the three.

We are actively engaged in: the design of organometallic catalysts for cleaner fluorination reactions for pharmaceuticals, the preparation and application of artificial metalloenzymes, researching enzymes that catalyze important half reactions for the hydrogen economy, and the application of homogeneous and biocatalysts that clean water.
