Research Statement
My research investigates interactions between the autistic community and affective computing algorithms, with particular interest in empathic chatbots and virtual agents. My work is interdisciplinary in nature, synthesizing psychological and anthropological theories of emotion with the lived experiences of autistic adults and technological developments. My project is supervised by Dr Gary McKeown and Dr Raluca Roman.
I am a member of the Social Interactions Lab.
