Research Focus

I am the Administrator for the Renal Arts Group, a collaborative research group based within Queen’s University working with academics, clinicians, patients and their carers, and artists to develeop a programme of research with the ultimate aim of improving the physical and psychological quality of life of those living with kidney disease. I provide administrative support to the group, including co-ordination of monthly meetings, booking spaces, preparing the agenda, inviting attendees, and recording and disseminating accurate minutes to group members. I am responsible for sourcing appropriate funding and partnerhsips for arts projects, and for researching, co-ordinating and participating in events such as the Belfast City Hospital Arts Care Festival in May 2019 and the ESRC Festival of Social Science in November 2019. This includes sourcing venues, planning budgets and programming arts activities at these events. I am also responsible for the promotion of workshops and events, and managing social media accounts for the group, as well as contributing to the QUB School of Nursing website to raise the profile of the group's research and activities.
