Research Focus

I am researching diets to protect health of older adults and am part of the BBSRC funded Doctoral Research Programme to train PhD researchers in food systems.

In addition to my research to design and evaluate a nutritionally adequate diet for healthy ageing older adults, I undertook a professional internship with Defra

My work with the Social Science researchers in the Defra Food Chain team looked at the food practices of older people in the UK.The purpose was to to understand the healthiness and sustainabity of the food practices and to summarise the current evidence for policy makers.
