Research Focus

Benedict McAteer is a Research Fellow based in the Planning Department of Queen's University Belfast, Northern Ireland. He works as a researcher on the MarinePlan project, an EU-Horizon-funded study that explores spatial conservation measures for marine biodiversity, and teaches undergraduate classes on environmental planning and research methods. Benedict is also a editorial board member of the Ocean & Society journal, with his research interests including sustainability, participatory research and knowledge communication.
