Research Focus
Benedict McAteer is a Research Fellow based in the Planning Department of Queen's University Belfast, Northern Ireland. He works as a researcher on the CoCoMar project, a Marine Institute funded collaboration between University College Cork and Queen’s University Belfast, which explores how co-existence and co-location can function as mechanisms to deliver more integrated marine governance in the shared waters around the island of Ireland. Benedict also teaches undergraduate classes on environmental planning and social science research methods. He is a editorial board member of the Ocean & Society journal, with his research interests including sustainability, participatory research and knowledge communication.
