Research Focus

Bibek's research interests include examining unstructured data to understand societal phenomena better. His recent working paper exposes, for the first time ever, the misalignment between SDG7 goals and the national discourse of four democracies: UK, USA, Ireland and Australia.

He also engages in research related to international investments, corporate governance and corporate finance. 

Teaching

Bibek currently delivers lectures in financial management and data analytics to postgraduate students.

Over the years, he has taught various modules, mainly within the areas of Accounting and Finance, at different academic institutions. These modules include International Financial Management, Corporate Finance, Financial Accounting, Commercial Bank Management, etc.

He is the Programme Director for MSc Accounting and Finance at Queen's Business School. Bibek is also a Racial Equity Champion for the School and engages in discussions on issues related to race and diversity with colleagues across the University. 

Bibek worked in commercial banks for more than five years before completing PhD in Finance. He also has an MBA in Banking and Finance (with distinction). His banking experience centres mainly around credit analysis and credit control. He has delivered lectures in finance in both developed and developing countries and has conducted banking training around the issues of credit, risk and capital adequacy.
