Potential PhD research topics: 1. Smart and multifunctional polymer nanocomposites; 2. Sustainable polymers and polymer nanocomposites; 3. Biomimetic materials for soft tissue reconstruction; 4. Biodegradable polymers or multifunctional nanomaterials for drug delivery; 5. Smart elastomer nanocomposites for stretchable devices. Candidates who are interested in other types of polymers, nanocomposites, biomaterials or energy materials are also welcome to make enquiries. One fully funded PhD scholarship currently available for a UK candidate.
