Interests

Professor Walker was appointed in September 1998 to the Allen J. McClay Chair in Biomedicinal Chemistry to establish a Biomolecular Sciences programme within the School. His research interests are focused on the development and application of novel inhibitors for the identification and validation of protease targets of biomedical and pharmaceutical importance. This research is characterized by a fusion of biological chemistry and cell and molecular biology.
