Personal profile

Research Statement

I am employed as a Nurse Consultant in Sexual Health in a joint appointment between the Queen’s University Belfast and the South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust.  My research interests include HIV, sexual health and sexual risk taking behaviour. In a primarily clinically based role I am particularly interested in the translation of research into practice and developing networks across service, academic and strategic partners. The findings from my PhD research study on men and women’s experience of reproductive decision-making and pregnancy form the basis of an eLearning resource HIV & Pregnancy – Prepared to Care, funded by a Knowledge Transfer Award from the HSC R&D Division of the Public Health Agency.
