Centered on Ireland, both north and south: national and political identity, political sociology, migration, peace and conflict studies, and EU integration (‘Brexit’ and the Protocol on Ireland/Northern Ireland).
Christian Zik Nsonwu is an early career researcher who has spent the past several years working in political affairs across the US, Republic of Ireland and United Kingdom. He has presented written and oral evidence before several parliamentary committees in the UK and Ireland. Christian has worked supporting policy developments in the areas of migration, social service sector, identity and integration.
He has experience in quantitative and qualitative research methods, serving as a researcher on several projects both in the academic and public sectors. He has produced several publications focused on migration and climate change.
Christian is interested in various aspects of research surrounding national and political identity, political sociology, migration, peace and conflict studies, and EU integration (‘Brexit’ and the Protocol on Ireland/Northern Ireland). Christian is open to collaborations and co-productions in research amongst the areas mentioned above.
