Research Focus

Hi! I am currently a PhD student at Queen's University Belfast, with a BA (Hons) in Ancient History & Archaeology from Queen's University and an MA in Archaeology from Lund University, Sweden. My current PhD is titled "Androgynous Deities of Asia Minor and Gender Identity", and seeks to investigate parallels between the ancient Galli "eunuch priests" of Cybele and other historic, modern or contemporaneous social groups, in order to provide new insights into Galli cult behaviour.

When not researching I have worked in both the archaeological and education sectors, as a field archaeologist and teacher respectively.

Research Interests

My research interests are vast, yet primarily focus around the following:

  • Classical Greece and the Hellenistic Period
  • Classical Religions and Cult
  • Ancient Sexualities and Concepts of Identity
