Research Focus

My research focuses on the application of economics to health and healthcare. My work has examined the impact of policy on behaviours and outcomes, the evaluation of new technologies, the examination of inequalities and the study of attitudes to health issues. I work across a range of conditions, services and jurisdictions. I have supervised 12 PhD students and 1 MD student to completion in the past 8 years. I am co-organizer of the Ireland Masterclass in Health Economics and Chair of the Health Economics Association of Ireland. I am not currently accepting new PhD students.
