Particulars

Claire is a Senior Lecturer of Practice (Accounting). Claire is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland and a Chartered Tax Adviser. Claire has worked in Big4 professional services firms in Dublin in the area of international corporate restructuring and has provided consultancy to professional services firms offering tax advice from a UK and Irish perspective. Claire is a member of both the Chartered Accountants Ireland’s Northern Ireland Tax Committee and the Tax Committee South in the Republic of Ireland. She is also an active member of the Chartered Accountants Ireland Training and Education Committee.

Teaching

Claire’s teaching interests are in the areas of taxation and financial accounting. She currently teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate students in these areas and is involved in teaching taxation at the advanced levels for the Chartered Accountants Ireland’s professional accounting qualification. She is the expert annual updater of Chartered Accountants Ireland's Taxation NI textbook and has spoken at numerous cross-border taxation and budget update events and has contributed to Chartered Accountants Ireland's professional tax  journal.

Research Interests

Claire's research interests are in taxation, cross border taxation and the impact of regulation on base erosion and profit shifting.
