Particulars

Ms Clare Murray graduated from Queen's University Belfast, with a First Class Honours degree in Pharmacy in 2005. Following qualification, she assumed positions within Community Pharmacy and remained in this area of practice until 2016. In 2016, she moved into General Practice. In 2018, she was appointed Lead General Practice Pharmacist. 

She qualified as an Independent Prescriber in 2018 and has undertaken postgraduate qualifications in Diabetes and COPD. In 2020 she obtained a distinction in a post-graduate master's in Advanced Clinical Pharmacy Practice from Queens University Belfast.

In addition to her role as a Lecturer at Queen's University, she continues to work as a General Practice Pharmacist on a sessional basis. She also continues to support qualified pharmacists' education, acting as an assessor in the NICPLD IP program. 

Teaching

She has been a passionate advocate for the education and development of others since her qualification. She has mentored pre-registration students, counter assistants, Pharmacy Technicians and Accuracy Checking Technicians. 

She has extensive teaching responsibilites on the Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) programme:

Currently she fulfils module coordinator duties for PMY4401 and is the Assistant Module Coordinator for PMY2204

She is the Academic Lead for the School of Pharmacy Prize Night held each October. This is an evening of celebrating the successes of our students in both the MPharm and BSc programmes. 

She is a Personal Tutor for MPharm Undergraduate Students

She holds the joint position of University Access Coordinator for the North West Regional College for their Access Diploma in Health and Welfare.
