Interests
I am Technical Manager at the School of Arts, English & Languages and based at the SARC - Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Sound and Music. Managing the extensive studio facilities at SARC, including the Sonic Laboratory (3D sound for the ear) and coordinating the technical requirements for events, festivals and projects within SARC and the wider School. I also manage the Apple computer labs at the school, administering over 100 machines.
I am a certified AVID Pro Tools instructor for the courses below:
- Pro Tools 101 Fundamentals I
- Pro Tools 110 Fundamentals II
- Pro Tools Game Audio
I have keen interest in sound design and interactive sonic installations having project managed both the Soundscape Park Project and the NI Hospice Sonic Gardens, two interactive permanent sound installations in Belfast.
I am a keen sound engineer with experience in both live and recording environments including large-scale concerts and installations. I have been Technical Director for the Sonorities Festival since 2013.
