Research interests within the areas of learning disability, mental health and mental capacity. Research on decision-making processes particularly in relation to substitute, supported and shared decision-making. Research interests in Human Rights, social inclusion and social justice.

Interests

My main research interests are within the areas of learning disability, mental health and mental capacity. Interested in decision-making processes including substitute, supported and shared decision-making for individuals who lack capacity. Interested in Human Rights, social justice and social inclusion of individuals with a disability. Interested in the lived experiences of those who have experienced political conflict and the social work response. Further interest in international social work perspectives with a focus on carers' roles, advocacy and environmental social work.
