Current Research Focus
PhD - Modelling of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) for Next Gen Electric Buses.
Lifesaving ADAS such as autonomous emergency braking (AEB) have become commonplace within the automotive industry. Implementation on city buses however has been prevented due to the risk posed to standing and unrestrained passengers. This research aims to address the uncertainty in this area through traffic scenario simulation, and the development of an adaptive AEB control strategy to mitigate the risk to bus occupants.
Previous Research Interests
