Research Statement

David Jordan is studying for a PhD in Economics at Queen's Management School, investigating the economics of devolution by drawing lessons from Northern Ireland between 1920 and 1972.

David is also a research student at the Queen's University Centre for Economic History, and a postgraduate research associate of the Queen's University Institute of Irish Studies.

Economic and Financial History, Regional Economics, Public Economics, Northern Ireland

Achievements

David Jordan holds a BSc in Economics with First Class Honours, and a MSc in Finance with Distinction, both from Queen's University Belfast. He was awarded a DEL Studentship to study for a PhD in Economics at Queen's Management School.

During his masters, David won the ICAP Prize for best performance by an MSc Finance student in Derivatives, and the John McConnell Endowment for best MSc Finance Dissertation. Prior to beginning this course, he was awarded a Merit Based Postgraduate Taught Scholarship by Queen's University Belfast.

During his undergraduate degree, David was awarded the KPMG Prize for Best Graduate in BSc Economics, the McKane Medal for Best Final Honours student in BSc Economics, the Shaw Memorial Prize for top Level 2 student in BSc Economics, and a Foundation Scholarship for top Level 2 student in BSc Economics.
