Research Statement

Dean O'Driscoll is a trainee educational and child psychologist on the Doctorate in Educational, Child and Adolescent Psychology (DECAP) at Queen's University Belfast. His research explores the role of self-compassion as a protective factor for the development of psychopathology among children and adolescents, the use of compassion-based interventions for young people experiencing difficult emotions, and risk and resilience processes for youth living amid protracted intergroup conflict.
