Research Focus

My research and writing is across a variety of different areas. This is because my professional role has been as a Specialist Generalist Nurse or an ANP in Primary Care. 

I have a special interest in long term conditions, namely, respiratory disease. I am a member of the education committe of the Association of respiratory nurse specialists (ARNS) and a member of the spirometry working group and respiratory forum in Northern Ireland.

I am also a Non medical prescriber and have a keen interest in the education of nurses in pharmacology and medicienes optimisation. I am an educator for the British Pharmacology society.  In pedagogy I am a faciliative teacher with an interest in blended and e learning. I have been involved in several e- learning projects across England and have converted one of my text books to an e- learning version.
