Teaching
Clinically I have extensive experience as a Registered Mental Health Nurse and am a registered Specialist Practitioner in Child and Adolescent Mental Health and worked as a Family Nurse in Family Nurse Partnership. I am a qualified Intermediate Systemic Practitioner and hold qualifications in EMDR (Level one and two), a qualified Life and Executive Coach and a member of the Association for Coaching, as part of Queen's University Belfast’s Corporate Membership.
Teaching
● Module lead Formulation- based nursing in mental health care (NM2128)
● Module lead Understanding and Working with People who Self-harm (HSN 3078)
● Module lead Masters in Perinatal Mental Health (HSN 7077)
●Tutorial lead Working Interprofessionally to Improve Mental Well Being (NSY2124)
● Teach across the year two undergraduate professional nursing programme.
I am also involved in teaching across the Graduate-entry Master’s Adult, Mental Health and Children’s and Young People's Nursing programme. I am also actively involved in the supervision of Postgraduate Masters’ students and Graduate Entry Master's students.
I act as a link-lecturer for several clinical areas in the Southern Trust, Western and Belfast Trust areas and independent sector. In addition, I serve as a personal tutor for a group of undergraduate student nurses at the school.
