I have completed all my higher education at Queen’s University Belfast; graduating in 1999 with BSc (1st Class Hons) Psychology and again in 2004 with a PhD in Psychology and Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Teaching.
I have been employed as a lecturer since 2005 and was appointed research coordinator for Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2015.
I have expertise in the measurement and modelling of a range of psychological constructs as well as the design and statistical analysis of research projects.
I have made media appearances on a number of television shows including the Afternoon Show, the Daily show and You’re a Star.

Research Interests
My primary research interest is mental health including the measurement and modelling of psychological trauma, anxiety disorders, psychosis and related constructs. Specific areas of interest include:

I have been teaching research methods and analysis for ten years. Martin Dempster and I have co-written two books on statistics & research methods and I have published research looking at the problems students have in this area.
