Research Interests
Dr Elissa Price is a research fellow at the Co-Centre for Sustainable Food Systems exploring associations between the consumption of polyphenols and health in cancer survivors using large epidemiological datasets. She holds a PhD in Health Sciences from the University of New South Wales that explored the categorisation of whole-grain foods in dietary recommendation models, with a particular focus on food processing and cardiometabolic risk associations. Elissa is passionate about accessible healthy diets and food messaging for all populations and have over three years’ experience as an Accredited Practising Dietitian, in Australia, counselling individuals living with cardiometabolic diseases.
