Research Interests

My research interests are in the fields of comparative European and British politics, political parties, elections, territorial politics, and democratic innovations. My main publications relate to party organisation and elections in the UK and in Spain, with a focus on the multilevel dimension of these issues.

I am responsible for the data collection for France for the Political Parties Database project. 

I welcome applications from  students interested in doing a PhD dissertation in the fields of

- Political parties, party organisation and democracy
- Territorial politics and devolution in the UK and in a comparative perspective
- The politics of the UK and its devolved components, France, and Spain 
- Citizen engagement and democratic innovations
