Research Statement

My research explores themes of social, economic and cultural change in European and Mediterranean prehistory, with a specific focus on Neolithic and Copper Age societies in Italy and Malta. I am especially interested in how we can integrate human bioarchaeological data with other forms of archaeological evidence to explore human adaptation to episodes of change in the human story.

Beyond the Mediterranean, my previous research has also investigated the long-term impacts of colonialism and identity in Ireland through analysis of funerary monuments.
