Research Interests

I am a PhD candidate in the School of Social Sciences, Education and Social Work. My PhD explores the influence of socio-demographics, mainly sex, religion and socio-economic status on primary and post-primary attainment in Northern Ireland using quantitative methods. My research interests lie broadly in the field of inequality within social institutions and quantitative research methods.

Achievements

Shortlisted for the BERA ECR Award (2018) for paper entitled 'The influence of socio-economic background and gender on PISA attainment in the United Kingdom: a systematic review'.

Queen's Graduates' Association Scholarship (2016)
Awarded to postgraduate students in recognition of their dedication to their field of research. 

Q-Step Scholarship (2015) 
Following a summer internship at the Department of Justice, a Q-Step scholarship was awarded in 2015 to complete a Masters in Social Research Methods.
