Personal profile

Research Focus

I am a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow based within the Centre for Public Health and the Cancer Epidemiology Research Group at Queen's University Belfast. My PhD project and Post-Doctoral position has been funded by The Brian Conlon Foundation.

My research focuses on oesophageal cancer and the premalignant condition, Barrett's oesophagus, with a focus on asymptomatic presentation and early detection. I have developed skills in quantitative research methodologies, examining risk of progression to cancer, risk factors, survival and prevention opportunities.

I am also a Registered Associate Nutritionist, with previous experience in Human Nutrition and the food industry. I volunteer as the data co-ordinator for an 8-week community-based weight loss and physical activity intervention, which has run from 2016 to present.
