Dr Bannon is open to PhD applications from candidates who have an interest in applying statistical methodology to observational datasets to better estimate and understand the prognostic factors affecting cancer patient survival outcomes. Fully-parametric survival analysis, missing data imputation, causal inference mediation, prognostic models, 'emulation trial' designs using observational data, and 'per protocol' effect estimation in clinical trials are current areas of Dr Bannon's research.
