Interests

Particular interests lie in ecosystem biology, evolutionary biology and ecology, specifically enjoying the fieldwork aspect in freshwater, marine and terrestrial environments. I have an ongoing interest in taxonomy and identification of invertebrates to assess the the changing quality of the environment in which they exist.

Queen's signed up to The Science Council/Gatsby Foundation initiative, the Technician Commitment, in 2017. This is enabling change in HE and Research institutions to increase the Visibility, Recognition, Career Development and Sustainability of technicians. I am passionate about this initiative making a difference to technical colleagues at Queen's.
