Personal profile

Research Interests

I am a Chartered Engineer (Ita) and Senior Lecturer in Structural Engineering at Queen's University Belfast.

I obtained my PhD at University of Palermo (Italy) working on seismic design of masonry and RC structures. I have experience on Seismic design, Finite element/Multibody analysis, and Scaled prototypes.

Research Focus

My current research focus is on:

  • Basalt composites and shape memory alloys and  for application in civil engineering;
  • Digital concrete manufacturing
  • Design of seismic and impact resistant structures
