Personal profile
Research Focus
I am currently doing a PhD in Education at the Schoool of Social Science, Education and Social Work, Queen's University Belfast. My PhD research focuses on the impact of high-stakes testing on teaching and learning English in the context of Bangladesh.
My research interests comprise of English Language Learning and Teaching (ELT, TESOL, EFL, EAP etc.), Education and Assessment. I am particularly interested in the study of the impact of language assessment on micro-level (teaching and learning in the classroom) and macro-level (on policy, curriculum and on the society). I have also interest in the research of teaching materials and its suitability in the teaching context. For conducting research on this aspect in my MSc in 2018, I was awarded a commendation from the British Council Master’s Dissertation Awards 2019. The British Council acknowledged the research as outstanding that has a high potential for impact on policies and practice in the ELT field.
