Personal profile

Research Interests

I am interested in the professional identity of the mental health nurse and how to align nursing specific knowledge with mental health nursing practice. I am a proponent of the adoption of a nursing theory that underpins the mental health nursing curriculum and mental health nursing practice, this is the key to enhancing professional self-esteem and credibility. Other areas of interest include improving the method of record keeping reflecting the professional and clinical status of the nurse and bridging the longstanding practice theory gap through collaborative teaching with academics and practice.
