Research Interests
Spanning from the mid nineteenth to the early twentieth century, my primary research interests include:
-Modernism, decadence and aestheticism
- American modernism(s), with a particular focus on American modernist poetry
- Horticultural and mycological modernisms
- Modernism and Buddhism
- Literary theory (historicism, aestheticism, poststructuralisms)
My current research explores the relationship between botanical spaces, focusing on the private garden, and modernist literature (Wallace Stevens, Amy Lowell, Djuna Barnes and F.Scott Fitzgerald). I am currently writing an article on Djuna Barnes's mycologies, decadence and aesthetic historicism.
