I am a trained primary school teacher with experience teaching and working with children and young people across a variety of both formal and informal settings both in Northern Ireland and China. I have used qualitative and creative methodologies in the past to gather opinions and perceptions from both adults and children around concepts such as creativity, thinking skills, curriculum development, gender and widening access. 

Previously, I have facilitated, designed and implemented significant parts of the Blurred Lives project, an Erasmus+ funded, co-participatory project with young people living in areas of socio economic disadvantage on the issue of cyberbullying. This involved designing and implementing focus groups and using the quality circle approach to engage with young people. 

I have previously worked with Campbell UK and Ireland to publish three systematic reviews on homelessness. I lead on the qualitative evidence synthesis of process evaluations related to the implementation on RCTs and quasi-experimental studies. I review title registrations for the Campbell Education Co-ordinating Group and am now providing assistance on the INVOLE_FP project which seeks to find effective programmes involving men and boys in family planning across LMICs. 

I am now a DfE funded PhD candidate working on the LINKS project which seeks to develop early childhood development programmes that promote social cohesion in LMICs.
