Research Focus

Jill Mulholland is a PhD student in the School of Nursing and Midwifery. 

Her PhD research is affiliated with the NIHR funded Common Health Assets project. It aims to explore and assess the impact of referral mechanisms involved in connecting people to community-based support, with a specfic focus on the impact of a social prescription on the health and wellbeing of individuals. 

Research Focus

Jill is an Adult Nurse with experience working in a range of hospital settings. Through these experiences, she has developed an interest in research involving the connection of hospital care to community care, and enhancing access to holistic health and wellbeing.

Teaching

Jill has experience working as a mentor to undergraduate nursing students in the hospital setting. Other teaching experience includes delivering content on the undergraduate nursing year 2 module, Working Interprofessionally to Improve Mental Wellbeing, and Lecturing for year 2 undergraduate students on social prescribing and her PhD study. 

Particulars

Jill is a member of the All Ireland Social Prescribing Network Research and Evaluation Committee.

Jill has an MSc in Advanced Profession Practice Leadership and Mangement and a PGCE for Healthcare Professionals.
