Research Focus

Vice-Chancellor's Illuminate Fellow working on the implementation of ionic liquids in fuel cells.

Unlocking the potential of intermediate-temperature polymer electrolyte fuel cells by integrating protic and poly(ionic liquids) into the membrane and catalyst layers of operable devices and exploring the performance and durability thereof.

Previously a Research Fellow working on the ÆSIR (Affordable Energy Storage for Intermittent Renewables) Project which identified a promising all-soluble, all-iron electrolyte and novel cell design for cheaper redox flow batteries and produced a prototype system.

Director of a Sustainable Education and Outreach Company, PPL PWR

Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry

Member of the Community Board of the RSC Materials Horizons journal
