Research Focus

Current Project:

Visual Voices: a User Interface – how online resources aid educational and community development

My current work as a Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie early stage researcher focuses on strategies and possibilities for the use of digital storytelling in education and outreach projects, which particularly aims to promote community development through the Prison Memory Archive (PMA). I am an interdisciplinary researcher, with an academic background in Physics and Languages in formal and informal education, as well as museum education and outreach with a focus on natural sciences. At QUB I am based within the School of Arts, English and Languages (AEL) in the Department of Film Studies and the School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy and Politics (HAPP) in my role as a CITI-GENS Fellow.

Other interests include (digital) cultural heritage, museums and archival studies, museum literacy, science communication, digital humanities and ethical questions connected to these topics.
