Personal profile

Research Focus

My group focuses on understanding the cellular DNA damage response (DDR) and how defects in this pathway contribute to the development of cancer and response to therapies. More recently, my group has focused on the link between the DDR and the innate immune response linking DNA repair defects, such as those found in BRCA1/2 deficient cells, to activation of the cGAS/STING response. In line with this, much of our current work is focused on modulating the cGAS/STING response to enhance responses to immune checkpoint blockade therapies and the development of rationalised combination therapies for the treatment of a range of solid tumours and blood cancers.
