Personal profile

Particulars

I'm a registered nurse with a BSc (Hons) in Adult Nursing and a background in critical care nursing in clinical practice. Prior to commencing my PhD studies, I worked as a research assistant for several years.

Research Focus

My PhD research project aims to explore the experiences of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in Northern Ireland and build a theory to explain their pancreatic cancer journeys.

Research Interests

My previous work as a research assistant has involved research around dementia, caregiver support, delirium, end-of-life and palliative care, and digital education resources.

Interests

Outside of my work life, I enjoy travelling, reading novels, bouldering, yoga, hiking, cinema-going, gig-going, playing board games, and embracing my mediocrity by trying out new things.
