Research Interests

My research interests are in eighteenth century and Romantic-period literature, particularly women's writing and the poetry of Lord Byron. My thesis explores the interrelation of female authors and Byron, gauging the influence of women's literature on his work. Previous research has engaged with women's writing from the eighteenth century through to the early twentieth, examining literature by Margaret Cavendish and Virginia Woolf among others, and ecocritical readings of Byron's poetry, the subject of my MA dissertation.
