Personal profile

Research Interests

I have a variety of experience working as a researcher with differing levels of responsibility.  My main research interests to date are:

  • Human nutrition and public health
  • Laboratory analyses of biomarkers

Research Focus

I have a keen interest in early intervention, particularly within our education settings.  I see that policy amendment alongside early intervention is what can drive change in a viable way.  I am currently working on an NIHR funded project (NIHR151295) the main goal of which is to look at the impact of school meals and free school meals in secondary schools and maximise the positive impact on nutrition, health, and wellbeing of secondary school-aged children, particularly for those most at risk of poor nutrition, obesity, and food insecurity.
