Research Statement
Dr Mark Farrell is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (FIA) is currently Programme Director for the MSc in Actuarial Science at Queen’s Business School, Queen’s University Belfast.
He brings over a decade of international experience in actuarial consulting, having held actuarial roles in London, Toronto, Belfast, and Dublin. Following his industry career, he transitioned to academia, where he now teaches and conducts research in actuarial science and related disciplines. Dr Farrell holds a PhD in Finance, with a focus on Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). His research interests also include Insurance Technology (InsurTech) and Data Science. He is also a recipient of the Fulbright Scholarship.
