Research Focus
The title of my PhD research is "Age-friendly Accessibility Strategies for Community Pharmacies." This project will use a suite of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) techniques to analyse accessibility to community pharmacies for older people in Northern Ireland. it will also have a qualitative element consisting of consultations with stakeholders and resulting in recommendations to policymakers.
Research Interests
I have broad and varied research interests, but mainly in the interdisciplinary use of GIS in ageing and archaeology.
Achievements
I have been awarded the Government of Ireland Irish Research Council Postgraduate Scholarship for my first PhD titled "Mapping Social, Ideological and Economic Transformations: Settlement and Landscape in the Early Medieval Kingdom of Brega AD 400-1100". I have also been awarded funding from the Dunhill Medical Trust for my current PhD research titled "Age-friendly Accessibility Strategies for Community Pharmacies".
