I am currently a Senior Lecturer (Education) in Accounting at Queen's University Management School Belfast. I have extensive teaching and consultancy experience within the higher education sector. I have lectured extensively on financial accounting and financial management, and I am a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland and a member of the Financial Reporting Faculty of ICAEW.  I am an assessor for the award of Chartered Manager for UK practising managers, a CIMA Advocate for Northern Ireland and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

I have a passion for teaching and research and have the ability to integrate academic theory and practice. I am the Programme Diretor for the undergraduate Accounting degree programme. My PhD looked at the discharge of accountability by UK social enterprise organisations. My other research interests include ethics and accountability within corporate organisations, and the management and control of the outsourcing of prison services.
