Research Focus

Md Tarek Hassan is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in the School of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EEECS) at Queen's University Belfast. He holds both Master of Science (M.Sc.) and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degrees in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET), Rajshahi, Bangladesh.

With over four and a half years of research experience, Mr. Hassan has been actively engaged in cutting-edge areas of 5G, Beyond 5G (B5G), and 6G wireless communications, with a focus on radio resource management, millimeter wave (mmWave) communications, machine learning (ML), and edge computing. His recent research interests extend to Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS), Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for 6G systems.

Mr. Hassan served as a Lecturer in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ETE) at RUET from December 2021 to January 2025, contributing to both teaching and research initiatives within the department.
