Nicola Barron is a researcher on the GEMINI (Geothermal Energy Momentum on the Island of Ireland) project. She holds a PhD in Management from the University of Sussex and is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She has experience of teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the University of Sussex and Queen’s University Belfast in the areas of international business, entrepreneurship, and marketing.
Her research focuses on the cognitive dimensions of market entrepreneurship and broader sustainability challenges. She has engaged in prestigious academic forums, including the McGill International Entrepreneurship Conference, and has published in leading journals such as Technovation and IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management. She has also contributed to policy research, collaborating alongside colleagues at Queen’s University Belfast to explore strategic frameworks for advancing sustainable energy policies.
