Research Output per year
I am a lecturer and fully qualified architect with over 10 years’ experience. I have worked on a varied portfolio of award-winning projects for several high-profile practices throughout the UK and Ireland. I completed my Batchelors in Architecture at the Macintosh School of Architecture, Diploma in Architecture at the Bartlett, UCL and Advanced Diploma in Professional Practice at the RIBA North West.
I am currently undertaking an AHRC funded PhD and have an ongoing academic interest in architecture and media. This has led to previous architectural research into a range of subjects, including contemporary electronic music and alchemy. My thesis continues this theme through the use of computer visualization techniques to explore how Soviet Avant-Garde film director, and one-time architecture student, Sergei Eisenstein manipulated space in his early silent films.
Alongside practice and research, I have also been actively involved in the teaching of architecture throughout my career. In my role as a lecturer at Queens University Belfast I have contributed to several components of the course, including Design Studio, History and Theory and Skills. I am currently responsible for the delivery of Stage 1 Design Studio and the MArch Technical Dissertation.
