Research Interests
My research experience spans across a range of projects and methodologies. I have experience of working on Randomised Controlled Trials, clinical drug trials, and exploratory research with mixed methods design. I have experience in project management and have recently managed a large-scale NIHR project from start to completion. I have also led certain components of each trial I worked on.
I am skilled in the use of qualitative research methods in particular. Through my doctoral research and previous positions in QUB, I have extensive experience in conducting semi-structured interviews, narrative interviews, participant observation and focus groups.
My subject specialism is in the area of drug and alcohol research and I am experienced in engaging and undertaking research with vulnerable populations. My research interests include substance use and risk, interventions, evaluations and trial methodologies.
