Research Focus

My research focuses on the application of 'omic technologies to investigate pathology in complex tissues and biofluids, particularly in diabetes, and age-related degenerative conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, Down syndrome and Multiple Sclerosis. I have experience in the generation and bioinformatic analysis of single-cell RNA sequencing data, bulk transcriptomics, proteomics, and epigenetics. These projects give me the opportunity to collaborate with clinicians such as Professor Tunde Peto and practicioners from University of Ulster including Professor Julie-Anne Lyttle.
